Does OZEN contain any harsh abrasives?
No. OZEN uses a low-RDA (Relative Dentine Abrasivity) formula, meaning it cleans teeth effectively without unnecessary wear to enamel or exposed dentine surfaces. This is especially important for those with sensitivity caused by enamel erosion.
Is OZEN suitable for everyday use?

Does OZEN whiten teeth?

Does OZEN have a strong taste or scent?
No. OZEN has a mild, clean mint flavour. We deliberately avoided strong artificial flavours, which can be irritating for people with oral sensitivity, receding gums, or post-treatment tenderness.

Is OZEN free from SLS (sodium lauryl sulfate)?
Yes. OZEN is SLS-free. Sodium lauryl sulfate is a foaming agent found in many toothpastes that can trigger ulcers and irritate sensitive oral tissue. We removed it to make OZEN kinder to your mouth.
Does OZEN contain parabens?
No. OZEN contains no parabens. We are committed to a clean, clinically effective formulation without unnecessary preservatives that raise consumer concern.
Is OZEN vegan?
Yes, OZEN is fully vegan. We do not use any animal-derived ingredients and have not used animal testing at any stage of product development.
Is OZEN cruelty-free?
Yes. OZEN is certified cruelty-free. We do not conduct or commission animal testing, and we do not sell in markets that require it.
Does OZEN contain artificial colours or dyes?
No. OZEN's formula is free from artificial colours. The paste's appearance comes entirely from its naturally whitish base ingredients.
Is OZEN gluten-free?

Does OZEN contain triclosan?

Can I use OZEN if I have a nut allergy?

Is OZEN halal or kosher certified?

Is glycerin natural?
Glycerin can be derived from plant-based sources (typically vegetable oils) or synthesised. OZEN uses a vegetable-derived glycerin. It is not an artificial additive - it occurs naturally as a byproduct of soap and biodiesel production from plant fats.
Why is glycerin in toothpaste at all?
Without a humectant like glycerin, toothpaste would dry out and become grainy or unusable within weeks. It also gives the formula its smooth consistency, which matters more for sensitive teeth than it might seem - an abrasive or uncomfortable texture can aggravate sensitive gum tissue and make people less likely to brush consistently.
How should I use OZEN for best results?
Apply a pea-sized amount to a soft-bristled toothbrush and brush for two minutes, twice daily - morning and night. After brushing spit out the excess and avoid rinsing to allow the AeroGraft™ to stay on your tooth surface to begin working. For enhanced sensitivity relief, you can apply OZEN oral gel directly to sensitive areas and leave it for one minute before rinsing.
Can I use OZEN with an electric toothbrush?
Yes. OZEN works well with both manual and electric toothbrushes. If using an electric brush, ensure you are using the sensitive or low-pressure mode to avoid unnecessary force on delicate enamel and gum tissue.
Should I rinse after brushing with OZEN?
For maximum fluoride benefit, we recommend spitting out excess paste but not rinsing with water immediately after brushing. This allows the active ingredients to remain in contact with your teeth for longer.
How much toothpaste should I use?
A pea-sized amount is sufficient for adults. Using more does not increase effectiveness and can accelerate product consumption.
Can I use OZEN with mouthwash?
Yes, but we recommend leaving a gap of at least 30 minutes between brushing with OZEN and using mouthwash. Using mouthwash immediately after brushing can wash away the fluoride and AeroGraft™.
Can I use OZEN as a spot treatment on sensitive areas?
Yes. For targeted relief, apply a small amount of OZEN oral gel directly to the sensitive tooth surface using a clean fingertip and leave for 60 seconds before spitting. This is particularly helpful for acute sensitivity flare-ups.
Is it safe to swallow small amounts of OZEN?
OZEN contains fluoride and is not intended to be swallowed. Adults should spit and rinse as normal. Keep out of reach of children under 6, and ensure young users are supervised when brushing.
How soon after opening should I use OZEN?
Once opened, OZEN should be used within 12 months for optimal freshness and efficacy. The PAO (period after opening) symbol on the packaging will confirm this.
Can I use OZEN with braces or orthodontic appliances?
Yes. OZEN is safe to use with fixed braces, retainers, and other orthodontic appliances. The fluoride content is beneficial for protecting enamel around brackets, where acid attack risk is higher.
Should I use OZEN in the morning, at night, or both?
Both. Consistent twice-daily use is the most effective routine. Night-time brushing is especially important as saliva production drops during sleep, reducing the mouth's natural ability to neutralise acids and remineralise enamel.
Is OZEN's packaging recyclable?
Yes. OZEN's outer carton is made from FSC-certified recycled card and is fully kerbside recyclable. The tube is made from sugarcane-derived bio-resin, which is compatible with plastic recycling streams in most UK councils - check your local guidelines.
Is the OZEN tube made from plastic?
OZEN uses a bio-based tube made from sugarcane HDPE, which has a significantly lower carbon footprint than conventional petroleum-based plastic while maintaining the same functionality and shelf stability.
Does OZEN use a recyclable cap?
Yes. The flip-top cap is made from the same HDPE material as the tube and can be recycled alongside it. We recommend rinsing before recycling.
Is OZEN's packaging plastic-free?
Not entirely - the tube requires a bio-based polymer to maintain product integrity and shelf life. However, we have significantly reduced virgin plastic use and are actively working towards a fully compostable or refillable packaging solution.

How should I dispose of an empty OZEN tube?
Squeeze out as much product as possible, then rinse the tube and cap. Flatten the tube and place it in your plastic recycling. The outer carton goes in paper or card recycling.
Does OZEN offset its carbon emissions?
OZEN currently works with carbon-neutral delivery partners and is building towards a full product lifecycle carbon assessment. We will publish our emissions transparency report on our website once complete.
Is the OZEN box necessary?
We have reduced the outer carton to the minimum size needed for product protection in transit and retail display. Future product iterations will explore whether unboxed formats are viable at scale.
